Shalimar Beach Resort is a small beachfront property on the quiet west end of Sanibel Island, set directly on the Gulf of Mexico a short drive from Bowman’s Beach and the island’s shared-use path network. Accommodations are arranged as studios and villas, most with full kitchens, private outdoor space and views toward the water, giving the resort the feel of a self-catering retreat rather than a conventional hotel. Guests have use of an outdoor swimming pool, a rooftop terrace, on-site laundry facilities, complimentary wireless internet and free self parking, along with beach-oriented extras such as bicycle and paddleboard use and a fish cleaning station for anglers. The property was rebuilt from the ground up following hurricane damage and returned to service in 2025, so the buildings, interiors and mechanical systems are new. Check-in begins at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Pets are not accommodated. Reservations are handled directly by the resort or through approved partners.
