Flamingo Inn is a small, recently remodeled inn on Estero Boulevard, roughly one hundred yards from the sugar-white sand of Fort Myers Beach’s seven-mile shoreline. The 2026 renovation refreshed the individually furnished rooms, which now include 34-inch smart televisions, kitchenettes with a microwave, toaster and coffee or tea maker, air conditioning with ceiling fans, and hair dryers. Complimentary wireless internet and free self-parking are included with every stay, and a shared outdoor area with barbecue grills gives guests somewhere to cook and gather after a day on the water. The inn is dog friendly and pets stay at no additional charge, an uncommon feature among nearby island properties. Its mid-island position places guests between the busier downtown Times Square district to the north and the quieter beaches and Lovers Key State Park to the south, with beach access, casual restaurants and trolley stops all within a short walk. Check-in requires a minimum age of twenty-five.
